Improving A Real Estate Website On Search Engines.
part 1 of 5 Q: What are the top 5 things you need on your real estate website to organically improve your position on major search engines?
Fifth most important tip for improving a real estate website on search engines.

Answer Number 5:
Description Meta Tag
Relax; I know that I’ve been telling you for years that search engines no longer care about Meta Tags for ranking purposes. That remains to be the case, but (I know you were eagerly anticipating a “but” coming) they are still highly valuable. You will find that in many cases the search results show the Meta Description as the description in the search results.
example:
Query the phrase “aceengine” in Google.
The search results show the following:
Internet Marketing, Online Marketing Strategy - AceEngine, holistic internet marketing and online marketing since 1999.
www.aceengine.com/
The link at the top is from the Title Tag (which we will talk about shortly) and the description is taken from the Meta Description on AceEngine.com’s home page.
Here is the html code Google is using from our home page:
Tip 5a: Every page of your website should have a unique Meta Description
Tip 5b: Every Meta Description should include keywords that are important to the success of your company, such as “Hood River OR real estate” for a realtor in Hood River Oregon.
